For the 2017 MATE Competition, teams are presented with four tasks that the robot must complete for the maximum amount of points. To do so, the robot must have the necessary capabilities to complete tasks such as rotating a valve 1080 degrees, utilizing a claw to grip different field elements, and using lasers to differentiate substances. All of these extra accessories are a vital part in gaining the maximum amount of points for each task.
